How to merge PDF files without uploading them

Most online PDF mergers send your files to a server, join them there and send the result back. DocJuno does the joining inside your browser tab. The page loads a small PDF library, reads each file from your disk, copies its pages into a new document and hands that document back as merged.pdf. Your files never leave the device, so there is no upload to wait for and no copy left on someone else's server.

The pages are copied, not redrawn. Text stays text, images keep their original quality and each page keeps its own size. If you join an A4 letter with a US Letter form, both page sizes survive side by side in the new file. Nothing is re-compressed, so the merged file is roughly the size of all the inputs added together.

You need at least two PDFs. Drop them all at once or add them one by one, then use the arrows to put them in order before you press the button. The original files on your disk are not touched.

Common problems when merging PDF files

The merged PDF is too big to send

Merging adds sizes together, so five 6 MB scans give you a file of about 30 MB. Many email providers stop at around 20 to 25 MB per message. Run the merged file through Compress PDF, or merge in two batches and send two emails.

One file refuses to load

This usually means the PDF has an open password or is damaged. Open it in your usual PDF reader. If it asks for a password, remove the protection there first and save a new copy. If it does not open anywhere, ask the sender for a fresh export.

A scanned page ends up sideways

Merging keeps every page exactly as it was, including a page the scanner fed in the wrong way. Fix it after merging with Rotate PDF: type only that page number and pick the direction.

The order is wrong after downloading

The list order is the page order. Phone downloads often have names like document(1).pdf, so it is easy to mix them up. Check the page count shown next to each file to tell them apart, rearrange, and merge again. If only a few pages are off, Reorder PDF Pages fixes them without starting over.

Merge PDF or JPG to PDF?

Use Merge PDF when everything you have is already a PDF: exported invoices, downloaded statements, scans saved as PDF by a scanner app.

If some of your pages are photos or screenshots, turn them into a PDF first with JPG to PDF or PNG to PDF, then merge that file with the rest. Doing it in two steps lets you control the page size of the photos separately.

Questions

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

There is no set limit. Dozens of normal documents work fine. Very large scans depend on how much memory your device has.

Will links and bookmarks survive?

Page content, links on the page and form fields are kept. The bookmark outline of each file is not copied into the merged document.

Can I merge PDFs on an iPhone or Android phone?

Yes. Open the page in Safari or Chrome, tap the upload area and pick files from the Files app or your Downloads folder. The merged file is saved to the same place your browser keeps downloads.

Does merging PDFs lower the quality?

No. Pages are copied over as they are, so text, vector drawings and images look the same as in the original files.

Do I need Adobe Acrobat to combine PDF files?

No. Any modern browser is enough. There is nothing to install and no account to create, and the result has no watermark.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The tool runs in your browser and the files never leave your device. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.
