● your files stay on your device, nothing is uploaded

PDF tools

Merge, split, compress and convert PDF files in your browser. Nothing is uploaded and there is no sign-up.

Every PDF tool on this page runs inside your browser. When you add a file, it is read by code on the page and the new PDF is built on your own computer or phone. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so contracts, bank statements, medical letters and scanned IDs stay with you. There is no account, no watermark on the result and no daily limit.

Most tasks need one tool, some need two in a row. A common chain is to merge several scans, remove the blank pages, then compress the result so it fits in an email. Each tool gives you a normal PDF back, so you can download it and drop it into the next one. Tools that work on selected pages accept ranges like 1-3, 7, and leave the rest of the document unchanged.

Questions

Are my PDF files uploaded anywhere?

No. The tools load into your browser and process files there. You can confirm it in your browser's developer tools: the network panel shows no file being sent while a tool runs.

Can I edit the text inside a PDF here?

Not directly. These tools work with pages, size, layout and properties: merging, splitting, rotating, cropping, numbering and so on. To change wording, edit the source document and export a new PDF.

Do these tools work with password protected PDFs?

A PDF that needs a password to open cannot be read until it is unlocked. Open it in your usual viewer with the password, save or print an unprotected copy, then use that copy here.

Will compressing a PDF stop me copying its text?

Not with the default "Keep text" mode, which only shrinks the photos inside the file. The "Scan" modes redraw each page as an image, which makes scans much smaller but turns the text into pixels, so use them for scanned documents only.
