PNG does not blur edges the way JPG does, so it is the better choice for pages with small text, tables, charts or technical drawings. Files are larger than JPG, which is the price for the sharpness.

How to convert PDF to PNG without losing sharpness
PDF to PNG draws each page of your document at the resolution you choose and stores the result as a PNG file. PNG is a lossless format: every pixel is kept exactly as it was drawn. Thin table borders, small footnotes and the lines of a floor plan come out as clean as they looked on screen, with no smudging around the edges.
All of this runs in your browser. The PDF is read from your device, each page is rendered one at a time and the images stay in the tab until you save them. Because nothing is uploaded, you can convert a page of an unreleased product manual or a signed agreement without handing it to a third party.
Each image is named after your file and page number, and many pages can be downloaded together as a ZIP. Keep in mind that PNG files are bigger than JPG files of the same page. That is the trade you make for perfect edges.
Common problems when converting PDF to PNG
The PNG files are huge
A full-colour page at Very high quality is millions of pixels, and PNG does not throw any of them away. If the page is mainly a photo, PDF to JPG gives a much lighter file. If you only need a smaller image of a diagram, choose High instead of Very high.
The chart looks pixelated in a slide deck
The image was probably made at Normal quality and then stretched. A slide shown on a large screen needs more pixels than a page on a laptop. Convert at Very high quality and let the presentation app scale it down.
You only need one diagram, not the whole page
The tool exports full pages. Convert the page at Very high quality, then cut out the part you need in any photo editor. Starting from a high resolution gives you room to crop without the result turning blocky.
Colours look slightly different from the PDF
Some PDFs, mostly ones prepared for professional printing, use print colour settings that screens show a little differently. The PNG reflects what a browser shows. For web use this is usually what you want.
Which resolution should you pick?
For an A4 page, Normal (72 DPI) gives about 595 by 842 pixels, High (144 DPI) about 1190 by 1684, and Very high (288 DPI) about 2381 by 3368. Doubling the DPI makes the image twice as wide and twice as tall, so the file grows roughly four times.
Normal is fine for small previews and thumbnails. High suits documentation, wikis and emails. Very high is for printing, cropping out details and anything where tiny text must stay readable.
Questions
Is PNG better than JPG for PDFs?
For text and line art, yes. For pages that are mostly photos, JPG gives a much smaller file with no visible difference.
Do transparent areas stay transparent?
Pages are rendered on a white background, the same way a PDF viewer shows them.
Can I convert a PDF to PNG on Android?
Yes. Open the page in Chrome, choose the PDF from your files and convert. The images or the ZIP land in your Downloads folder.
Is the text in the PNG still searchable?
No. Once a page is an image, the letters are just pixels. Keep the original PDF for searching, or use PDF to Text to pull the words out.
Can I open the PNG files in Photoshop or GIMP?
Yes. They are standard PNG files that any image editor or office program can open.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs in your browser and the files never leave your device. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.
